Techniques is an online anthology of poetry written by students of Professor Lombardo’s at Notre Dame University of Maryland during the fall semester of 2025. This project intends to exhibit the exceptional creative work generated by these students over the course of the term. From late August to early December of last year, students introduced themselves to a variety of poetic techniques, including automatic writing exercises, close reading skills, theme construction, formal experimentation, translation and more. Results demonstrate the work of competent, dexterous and disciplined young poets.
